DESCRIPTION:
ÖNnekas slideway is a lubricant for machine tool ways and slides. It is formulated from high-quality base oils combined with additives that provide good stick-slip friction characteristics, adhesiveness, foam resistance, rust protection, metal wetting, and superior lubricity.
The adhesive, friction modifier, and lubricity additives eliminate stick-slip and chatter under thin-film, boundary lubrication conditions. This allows smooth, uniform motion, even at low table speeds.The base stocks and additive package are selected carefully to protect ways while still providing good filterability.
This is important because reduced flow or plugged applicator filters will increase stick-slip and wear. The metal wetting and adhesion agents form uniform films that resist squeezing from way surfaces while the machine is not in operation. By preventing stick-slip, wear is minimized and service life is lengthened.
Quality additives also provide excellent rust protection and the high level of oxidation stability required in large systems.

APPLICATIONS:
ÖNnekas is recommended for all combinations of cast iron, steel and non-metallic way materials. Its outstanding lubricity and anti-weld additives make it particularly suitable where extreme machining precision, slow feed rates, or heavily loaded way surfaces demand uniform motion.
This oil may be applied by hand, force-feed lubricator, or in flood application by circulating system. In dual-purpose hydraulic and way lubricant systems, the proper viscosity can be used where bulk oil temperatures do not exceed 66°C. It is also suitable for lubricating headstocks, translating screws, spur and bevel gears, and lightly loaded worm gears.
